CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - A man arrested Tuesday night may be a suspect in the killing of the student body president at the University of North Carolina.
Chapel Hill, N.C., Police Chief Brian Curran told The News & Observer, a Raleigh, N.C. newspaper, that there was to be a news conference Thursday.
The body of Eve Carson, a senior at the university, was found near the campus a week ago. She had been shot several times.
Investigators released a photo from a security camera that showed a man possibly attempting to use her ATM card.
WCHL, a Chapel Hill radio station, said that Durham, N.C., police arrested a man there and handed him over to the Chapel Hill department.
