DES MOINES, Iowa - The owner of the lone winning ticket for the $275 million U.S. Powerball lottery drawing had yet to come forward by Sunday afternoon.
Lottery officials in Des Moines, Iowa, said the winning ticket was sold in West Virginia, Online Gambling Paper reported. Only one of the tens of millions of tickets sold matched the five numbers plus the Powerball, the gambling news Web site said.
It was not known where in West Virginia the winning ticket was purchased.
The winning numbers were 6-22-42-43-47 and the Powerball number was 16.
Twelve other tickets matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball. Those winners will get $200,000 each.
