PICO RIVERA, Calif. -- Detectives in Los Angeles County say they have not ruled out suicide in the death of a man found shot to death just hours after he got married.
Ernesto Frayre, 22, of Pico Rivera was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head Sunday morning in his car, which was parked a block away from where the wedding reception had been held.
Family members were stunned at the development and told the Los Angeles Times that Frayre had recently landed a good job and seemed delighted to have tied the knot with 19-year-old Amy Castro. The couple had met in middle school.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said the groom had excused himself to go out to his car at about 1 a.m. Sunday and never came back. They released no other details about the crime scene.
