NEW YORK -- A teenager reportedly confessed Wednesday to stabbing New York City newsman George Weber to death in what was described as a sexual encounter gone bad.
The New York Post said a 16-year-old boy from Queens was apprehended in Middletown, N.Y., and allegedly confessed to the slaying of George Weber, a 47-year-old radio reporter for ABC News.
The Post said last week's encounter at Weber's Brooklyn apartment began as a sexual rendezvous in which cocaine and alcohol were involved. Weber was found dead with about 50 stab wounds after he failed to show up for work.
The New York Daily News said the suspect had posted a MySpace page that depicted him as having a penchant for knives and willing to break the neck of anyone who "disrespects me."
Police say the pair met via an Internet ad in which Weber was seeking rough sex, the newspaper said.
