PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- An Arizona judge called 31-year-old Neil Rodreick a fixated pedophile and sentenced him to 70 years for posing as a 12-year-old boy and enrolling in school.
Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Thomas Lindberg said Roderick represented a danger to the community and handed down consecutive 17-year prison terms for each of four charges stemming from child pornography found on Rodreick's computer.
Roderick remained silent during Tuesday's hearing in Prescott, The (Prescott, Ariz.) Daily Courier reported.
Lindberg also handed down stiff sentences to two other adult males with whom Roderick lived and who posed as family members in order to enroll him at the middle school in Chino Valley.
Prosecutors said Rodreick posed as a student in order to gain access to children while his roommates, who had originally thought he was a minor, assisted him in enrolling so they could continue a sexual relationship with him.
