NEW ORLEANS -- A 24-year-old man has been charged with the execution-style killing of a woman and two children in a New Orleans suburb, Jefferson Parish authorities said.
Dayshawn Young was arrested Sunday and charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder, said Col. John Fortunato of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
Young was one of two suspects sought in Saturday's killing of Domonique Sterling, 19, her son Robert Claiborne Jr., 23 months, and Four Overstreet, 6. An 11-year-old girl wounded in the shootings was hospitalized in stable condition, The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune reported Monday.
Young, and a second suspect who has not been arrested, allegedly kicked down the door of Sterling's apartment in Terrytown and shot her in the back before shooting the girl several times and then shooting Overstreet and Claiborne in the head execution-style, Fortunato said.
