HOUSTON - A report of a man with a weapon Friday prompted the evacuation of the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's communications and engineering departments are in the building, KHOU-TV reported.
"A person with a weapon was in Building 44," NASA spokesperson Kylie Clem told the news media.
A reporter aboard the television station's helicopter saw more than 15 police cars around the building. The Houston Police Department responded to the call, joining NASA security.
