REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - A mother, daughter and grandson ended up in jail together in California after police responded to a Craigslist ad offering sexual services by a "goth girl."
The investigation began when a man complained to police in San Mateo County that Alyson Grizzel had stolen his car. He claimed Grizzel won his confidence by pretending to be an old friend.
"He claims that they met when she walked up to him and said she knew him from a long time ago," Deputy District Attorney Sheryl Wolcott told the San Francisco Chronicle. "He lets her borrow his car. That's what he says."
An undercover detective made a date with Grizzel and arrested her for prostitution. She told police where to locate the car and they found her mother, Alice St. Julien, 57, and son, Zachary Meeks, 19, in the vehicle with a runaway teenage girl.
Investigators said St. Julien had a stolen driver's license in her handbag and admitted she used it to pass bogus checks.
The three face various charges. The teen was not charged, and police are trying to return her to her parents.
