FRESNO, Calif. - A student at California's Fresno State College, suspected of killing another student in an argument over a Sony PlayStation, surrendered to police Tuesday.
Jonquil Brooks, 19, eluded police late Monday, The Los Angeles Times reported. He allegedly shot three people, killing one.
He surrendered around noon after being in touch with police by telephone during the morning. Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said Brooks was "very calm" on the telephone and appeared to be sorry for his actions.
Investigators say the three victims accused Brooks of stealing a PlayStation from their apartment in University Village. During an argument, he allegedly pulled out a handgun and opened fire.
Like Brooks, man who was killed was a 19-year-old Fresno State student.
