LONDON, Ky. - Investigators in Kentucky say two young brothers apparently died after accidentally locking themselves in the trunk of their mother's car.
The boys, Coty Baker, 11, and Chase, 8, were discovered Sunday morning, state police said. They were last seen Saturday afternoon playing outside their home in Laurel County.
"Well it's a tough situation," their grandfather, Larry Rush, told WFIE-TV in Evansville, Ind. "They were two fun-loving boys that died a tragic death. Any grandfather would have been proud to have them as grandchildren."
Their mother, Hannah Miller, owned a 1996 Audi. Some newer cars now have quick releases inside the car.
