Feds release Va. Tech shooter's profile
by UPI

WASHINGTON - Agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the Virginia Tech student who killed 32 people fits a criminal behavioral profile.

Agents said the more they learn about Cho Seung-hui since his April 16 killing spree, the more he fits the "Collector of Injustice" profile, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

"It is always someone else's fault and the world is out to get them," Bart McEntire, the resident agent in charge of the ATF's Roanoke, Va., office, told the Post.

Cho shot himself and when his body was found, he had the name "Ax Ishmael" scrawled on his arm. Investigators say Cho's family was religious and it's believed the reference is to the biblical figure Ishmael, who lived as an outcast.

Nearly 400 Virginia state troopers, ATF and FBI agents have amassed background material on Cho, including writings he left in his dorm room showing Cho believed people had no respect for him and that he planned to do something about it, the Post said.

One elusive piece of evidence is the hard drive from Cho's computer, which he apparently removed the morning of the shootings, investigators said.
