Investigators see TV crime drama
by UPI

CHICAGO - Officers investigating the shooting deaths of an Illinois woman and her three children have viewed a recent episode of the TV crime drama "Law & Order."

Authorities are downplaying any possible connection between the TV show and the shooting deaths of Kimberly Vaughn of Oswego and her children and the wounding of her husband, Christopher, The Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The May 8 episode studied by investigators dealt with a mother who supposedly shot her children to death, wounded her husband and then took her own life.

After a few plot twists, the NBC show ends with police arresting the husband on charges of killing his wife and children.

Vaughn, her two daughters and son were found shot to death in their sport utility vehicle in rural Will County last week and husband, Christopher, was wounded.

Christopher Vaughn Tuesday returned to his parents' home in St. Louis to make funeral arrangements for his wife and children.

The four will be buried in Missouri Saturday.
