WILKES BARRE, Pa. -- Four Pennsylvania beauty salon patrons suffered head injuries at the hands of a hammer-wielding robber, police reported.
Thomas Leyshon III, 41, a transient, was charged with 12 counts of aggravated assault and four counts of robbery related to Friday’s beatings at the Hairem Family Hair and Nail Care, The Wilkes Barre (Pa.) Citizens Voice reported Sunday.
Leyshon, who was being held on $100,000 bail, allegedly attacked the women and then visited acquaintances without mentioning the attacks.

Leyshon entered the salon and demanded money from the women before beating them, said police, noting Leyshon left the salon with less than $90.
Three of the victims, ages 57, 76 and 74, were treated for cuts, bruises, lacerations. Jean Chopka, 68, remained hospitalized Saturday in stable condition with cuts to her head.
