GLENDALE, Calif. -- Police in Glendale, Calif., confiscated $10 million worth of marijuana growing at a sophisticated outdoor pot farm that tapped directly into city water tanks.
At least 5,000 plants were spread out across more than an acre above Crescenta Valley Park, The Los Angeles Times said Thursday.
No arrests were made.
Police said the marijuana growers used a drip irrigation system with pipes that tapped directly into city water tanks that are used by city residents and to fight brush fires in the Verdugo Mountains, the newspaper said.
