ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Ailing evangelist Billy Graham improved enough to visit with friends and eat a chicken dinner, it was reported Monday.
“He’s doing real well. He was sitting up, eating,” Franklin Graham said of his father, who was hospitalized Saturday with intestinal bleeding, the Asheville (N.C.) Citizen-Times reported.
Graham, 88, Sunday watched his favorite TV preacher, the Rev. Don Wilton, of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, S.C., and ate a chicken dinner with family, the newspaper reported.
Graham’s doctors said the internal bleeding had stopped and they did not think his illness was life threatening, though they could not say when he would be released.
