Until further notice, Bend drivers are advised to avoid the Third Street underpass in Bend, which was closed to traffic this morning about 4:30 a.m. due to flooding from heavy rains.

“At this time it is unknown when Third Street will re-open,” said Sgt. Greg Owens of the Bend Police Department.

• When will the city of bend ever come up with a viable solution for this problem? After living in bend for nearly 30 years, I can't remember one year that this underpass hasn't flooded.
