The 4-H program and Mid-Oregon Credit Union invite the public to attend the 6th annual 4-H Gala Home Economics and Expressive Arts Showcase fundraiser dinner on Saturday, March 10.
Held at the Bend Senior Center at 1600 SE Reed Market Road, the event will showcase 4-H members from the Home Economics/Expressive Arts programs.
4-H demonstrations will be available for viewing at 6 p.m., followed by a scrumptious dinner – graciously catered by Incredible Edibles and served by 4-H members – at 6:30 p.m. Diners will feast on Black Butte porter marinated tri-tip with bleu cheese, mushrooms and roasted onions; herb-roasted potatoes; roasted asparagus with red peppers and sweet balsamic dressing; with locally baked bread and marionberry cobbler.
A live auction of 4-H members’ photographs, a model showcase of hand-made garments, and a silent auction of donated items and gift baskets from 4-H clubs and other contributing donors are planned.
The 4-H foundation is a non-profit educational organization that provides financial assistance to 4-H youth programs from private sources.
In the last five years, the 4-H foundation has provided more than three million dollars to enhance 4-H educational activities. 4-H members, volunteer leaders, clubs, county and statewide programs have all benefited from foundation support.
Tickets to this unique and eventful evening are $25 per person, or $250 for a corporate table for eight.
