Citizen satisfaction survey results to be presented to Bend City Council
by Bend Weekly News Sources

Every two years the City of Bend conducts a citizen survey to monitor citizen satisfaction with city services and gather input from residents about issues facing the community. The survey results are an important tool for the City in identifying the needs of the community and in measuring citizens’ attitudes and perceptions of city programs and services. The results also provide information for the City to prioritize allocation of city resources, while helping to shape and guide the City in the development of future operating and capital improvement budgets, as well as long-range planning.

National Research Center will be presenting its 2007 survey findings to City Council on Wednesday, December 5th during its meeting at 7:00 p.m.

The 2007 statistically valid survey was conducted by telephone to approximately 500 randomly selected registered voters. The City commissioned National Research Center, Inc., a full-service research firm based in Boulder, Colorado, to conduct the survey. Phone calls were made during October 18 to October 26, 2007. The length of the survey averaged about 18 minutes.

Final survey results will be placed on the City web site at www.ci.bend.or.us on December 6th.
