Seven new members join United Way board of directors
by Bend Weekly News Sources

BEND, Ore. – The United Way of Deschutes County yesterday announced the election of seven new volunteers to its board of directors.

Joining the current board members for a three-year term are:  Keith Foutz, Western Communications; Brad Henry, Bend La Pine Schools; Lisa Ihander, CPA; Jinnifer Jeresek, Karnopp Petersen LLP; Cecilia Romero Seesholtz, Deschutes National Forest; Martha Saunders, C Corp Homes and Katherine Stenkamp, Bend Memorial Clinic.

The primary responsibilities of the board include establishing policies and objectives, identifying appropriate community programs for funding, ensuring efficient distribution of contributor dollars and directing the overall impact of the United Way’s work in Deschutes County.

“Our goal is to assemble a diverse group of community volunteers,” said board president Terri Rahmsdorff, of Columbia River Bank.  “Given the responsibility involved, we seek individuals that are passionate about the urgent social service issues in Deschutes County, while also understanding what it takes to govern a successful non-profit organization.”

The United Way of Deschutes County praises the contributions of the outgoing board members Mike McKnight, Riverwest Builders, LLC; Debbie Pantenburg, Guidon; Keith Shipman, Horizon Broadcasting Group; Ray Spreier, Mid Oregon Credit Union and Ron Wilkinson, Bend La Pine Schools.

With this announcement, the United Way board of directors now has 34 members.
