The 2008 season for the Central District of the Oregon High School Equestrian Teams has begun! There are approximately 140 riders braving the cold weather to practice their patterns and get their horses back into shape to compete in three district meets this coming spring!
The Central District is comprised of 14 schools: Sisters, La Pine, Madras, Paisley, Redmond, Bend, Mountain View, Summit, The Dalles/Wahtonka, Dufur, Crook, Pendleton, Lakeview, and Hood River. Friday-English classes, In Hand Obstacle Relay, Working Pairs and Drill. Saturday-Working Rancher, Showmanship, Reining, Stock Seat, Driving, Trail, and Team Penning. Sunday- Breakaway roping, Steer daubing and gaming events.
Admission is free and vendors will be on site. Year End awards April 13th.
