Bend-La Pine Schools athletic teams had stellar showings this fall with twelve teams making it to state quarterfinals or better.
The Bend High School girl’s soccer team was crowned state champion after an exciting overtime shoot-out in the state championship game against Crescent Valley.
Mountain View High School volleyball and Bend High boys’ soccer ended thrilling seasons with second place finishes in state competition.
“These student-athletes are both leaders on the field and in the classroom,” said School Board Chair Scott Reynolds. “Our community can really take pride in their phenomenal success.”

Reynolds emphasizes the impressiveness of both these outstanding season finishes and the student’s achievements in the classroom.
“The average grade point average (GPA) for our fall sports teams is exceptional,” he says. “For instance, the Summit High School girl’s soccer team had a combined 3.61, Summit High School girl’s cross country team had a combined 3.83 GPA, and Bend High School boy’s soccer had a combined GPA of 3.44.”
