Brian Truman Hebener was alone in the cell when he was discovered dead about 7:30 p.m., a little more than an hour after he was lodged, Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies reported.
Hebener had been arrested for second-degree criminal trespass and harassment by Oregon City Police officers, and was reportedly sleeping off a level of intoxication. The jail’s web site indicated that Hebener was to be cited and released.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
