A 41-year old Albany woman was killed and her husband injured Monday evening when he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 20 in Benton County and crashed, police reported.
Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers and Benton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene near milepost 5 about 6:45 p.m. and found a 2005 Harley Davidson crashed in a ditch off the shoulder of the highway.

Daniel B. Moreland, 46, was driving the motorcycle east when he lost control, Sgt. Craig Flierl reported.
Moreland sustained non-life threatening injures and was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) in Corvallis for treatment.
His wife and passenger, 41-year old Kerin Moreland, was also taken to GSH where she was pronounced dead.
Troopers from the Albany Area Command office are continuing the investigation to determine the cause of the crash, but have discovered no evidence that would suggest that drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor. The Morelands were both wearing helmets, Flierl said.
