On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, North Precinct personnel conducted another retail theft mission in the areas of Jantzen Beach and Delta Park.
The mission resulted in:

13 Misdemeanor charges
8 Felony warrants

Man Deceased After Downtown Shooting
On Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 11:46 p.m., officers from the Central Precinct responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of Southwest 10th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers at the scene provided trauma first aid until paramedics arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died.

At 4:05 pm on Sunday, March 17 2024, Bend Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 61474 Edro Place. Initial reports were of a possible garage fire that was spreading quickly and may involve an additional structure. On arrival, both 61474 and 61466 Edro Place were involved in fire. Additional resources were called to the scene and the fires were knocked down quickly. Both residences were substantially damaged, with minor damage also to a vehicle parked in the driveway
