A Canby bookkeeper accused of writing more than 40 checks totaling $500,000 from her employer’s bank account and depositing them into her own, then using the proceeds for personal expenditures such as a breast augmentation surgery, pleaded guilty in Clackamas County Circuit Court yesterday.

Karri Rachel Collins, 36, of Canby, pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree theft, and is scheduled for sentencing in March, the Canby Police Department reported.
Collins was arrested following execution of a search warrant at her home on May 8, 2006 when evidence in connection with embezzlement from Classic Touch Homes was found.
