A Salem attorney was arrested after more than 37 grams of cocaine were seized during a search of his home on Thursday morning, police reported.
According to Salem Police public information officer Lt. Bill Kohlmeyer, 28-year old Westly Allen Warner was taken into custody early Wednesday morning and booked into the Marion County Jail after a street crimes unit and drug activity response team raided his home at 587 46th Place SE.
Detectives were tipped off about a week ago by a citizen who allegedly purchased cocaine from Warner, Kohlmeyer said. The informant agreed to work with law enforcement, and the resulting investigation lead to the arrest of Warner, his alleged supplier, 30-year old Rodney Sauseda, and a female friend who was at Warner’s home during execution of the search warrant. She was identified as Heather Unwin, 23.
All three suspects have been charged with possession and distribution of cocaine, Kohlmeyer said, adding that Warner is also charged with distributing the drug within 1,000 feet of a school due to his home’s proximity to Four Corners School.
