HELSINKI, Finland -- Police in southern Finland surrounded a high school where a teenage gunman shot four people, killing one of them, local media reported.
Police surrounded the Jokela School Center in Tuusula, Finland, and reported they had been fired at, Newsroom Finland reported.
There were conflicting reports as to whether the 18-year-old was a student at the high school, the Helsingen Sanomat reported.
An MTV reporter on the scene told CNN the fatality was the school principal but that couldn't be confirmed.
Student Tuomas Hulkkonen told the newspaper he has known the unidentified gunman for 10 years and that he had recently started drawing pictures of shootings.
