JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with Jordan's King Abdullah II for talks on the division of Jerusalem.
Olmert welcomed Abdullah Thursday for talks concerning the final status settlement regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the division of Jerusalem as part of that agreement and issues involving Palestinian refugees, The Jerusalem Post said Friday.
Reports on Israel Radio said an official communique from Jordan suggested Abdullah meant to shun unilateral actions and sought assurances from Israel regarding settlements in the Palestinian territories.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with Abdullah Wednesday.
