PARIS - A French court has rejected an attempt to ban a new book that includes stinging comments about French President Nicolas Sarkozy made by his ex-wife.
The Tribunal de Grande Instance in Paris ruled that Cecilia Sarkozy had no right to keep the comments she made about her ex-husband out of the public domain.
The former first lady has become a sensation in France and is the topic of three books that were published this week, the British newspaper The Telegraph said Friday.
One particular book quoted her as saying the president doesn't even like his own children and is a "stingy philanderer."
