AZUN, West Bank - West Bank settlers, under police watch, Sunday blocked the entrance to a village to protest Molotov cocktail and stone-throwing attacks against the settlers.
The protesters blocked the entrance to Azun with their cars, telling police officials the blockade would take place every day there were attacks, Ynetnews.com reported Sunday.
Israeli officials reported two minor injuries from stone-throwing attacks Saturday and Palestinian sources said the Israeli military raided Azun following the injuries.
Palestinians reported the Israeli troops included an officer known as "Captain Joe" who threatened to fire on West Bank stone-throwers.
Israeli military officials said stone and Molotov cocktail attacks increased in the West Bank since the beginning of 2008.
