EDMONTON, Alberta - Police in Edmonton, Alberta, were searching Tuesday for two trailers holding almost a half-million dollars worth of liquor and frozen chicken, local media said.
The two 53-foot trailers were reported missing Sunday afternoon from two locations in the city's west end, the Edmonton Sun reported Tuesday.
The first report was of a trailer loaded with $400,000 worth of liquor missing from a shipping company's holding yard, police said.
Two hours later a call was made to police about the theft of a refrigerated trailer with more than $50,000 worth of frozen chicken, the report said.
Police said they were certain the two thefts were related but released few other details, the newspaper said.
