RIO DE JANEIRO - At least three people were killed and 20 others were missing Thursday after a barge and a ferry collided in the Brazilian Amazon River, O Globo TV reported.
The ferry, which reportedly was carrying at least 100 passengers, sank. There were no reports of injuries among the crew on the barge.
Rescuers said it was unlikely that any of those missing from the ferry would be found alive.
