BOGOTA - Colombian officials said Thursday they know the whereabouts of four hostages who leftist rebels have promised to release, El Tiempo reported online.
Intelligence officials in Bogota declined to say what they would do with the information.
Colombia's Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, has promised to hand over the hostages to officials of the Venezuelan government.
Three hostages were released by the FARC and flown to the Venezuelan capital last month after negotiations mediated by Venezuelan officials.
FARC has been waging a civil war against government forces in Colombia for more than 40 years.
