Jewish seminary attacked in Jerusalem
by UPI

JERUSALEM - Two gunmen entered a rabbinical seminary in Jerusalem and opened fire, killing several students and wounding at least 35 others, officials said.

Reports conflict about the number of people killed. The Jerusalem Post initially reported four and the Arutz Sheva reported eight.

One of the alleged shooters died at the scene, the Post reported. A second assailant reportedly was wearing an explosives belt.

Police said all students at the Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva have been evacuated. Security forces are deployed in the surrounding Kiryat Moshe neighborhood.

Fifty ambulances responded to the scene, which emergency responders called "a major incident," reported the Arutz Sheva.

The shootings reportedly took place in a dining hall, CNN reported. The suspects were described as Arabs.
