DORVAL, Quebec - A Quebec man was being held west of Montreal Friday on charges he coerced girls and young women into posing nude for Internet photos, a newspaper reported.
Daniel Lesiewicz, 27, faces 32 charges related to luring and then threatening females into posing nude, along with making threats and extortion, The Gazette in Montreal said.
The provincial Surete de Quebec police allege Lesiewicz created an Internet chat room profile of a young woman and persuaded his victims to pose unclothed in front of Webcams, the report said.
It's alleged he then contacted the victims under the name of Dave, and threatened to post the photos online unless they posed for him again, the Gazette said.
Police Sgt. Melanie Paul said the majority of the females were between 14 and 19, but some women in their twenties also were targeted.
Paul said forensic officers were examining a computer seized at Lesiewicz's home for more evidence.
