BAGHDAD -- Coalition forces in Iraq Tuesday announced the capture of 19 suspected al-Qaida members, including one believed to have ties to a key cell leader.
The coalition said in a written statement a suspect nabbed in Tikrit Tuesday is thought to have ties to a cell leader who is behind various "indirect fire attacks" on coalition bases.
Other suspects were believed to provide support for al-Qaida leaders, the statement said. One even may have helped senior terrorist leaders with transportation and hideouts.
