LAHORE, Pakistan - Pakistan Muslim League leader Nawaz Sharif says his political party will help liberate Pakistan with the support of the Pakistani people.
The head of the PML-N party said the Pakistani people are supporting his group, which is planning a democratic revolution in Pakistan, the Paktribune said Friday.
Sharif also said during a meeting of his party's provincial working council this week that Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari allegedly pressured provincial assembly members to alter their party loyalties.
The meeting was also attended by members of the Quaid-e-Azam branch of the Pakistan Muslim League and Pakistan's Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal political-religious coalition.
Meanwhile, Sharif's fellow party member, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, has accused Zardari's administration of not understanding the language of Pakistan's constitution and laws.
The Paktribune said Nisar, the opposition leader in the country's national assembly, also vowed his party will make top Pakistani officials accountable for their actions.
