STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- A 40-year-old businessman in Sweden allegedly orchestrated group sex acts involving teenage schoolgirls during the last few years, prosecutors said.
The Swedish news agency Tidningarnas Telegrambyra said the unidentified businessman was charged with organizing situations in which teenage girls were forced to perform sexual acts with numerous men.
The businessman, who was arrested in November, allegedly began the illegal sex ring in 2006 and used the Internet to orchestrate the illicit events.
Nine schoolgirls were involved in the suspected sex ring, which has left the head of the company that employed the man shocked and appalled, TT reported.
"Months after the arrest, we're still in shock," the anonymous company official said.
"He was one of the hardest working managers we had."
The man has allegedly confessed to his part in the sex ring, which has also resulted in three suspected male clients being charged, TT said.
