SOFIA, Bulgaria -- Bulgarian police arrested 18 people across the country in what they said was the largest operation ever to round up suspected Internet pedophiles.
About 60 police officers and additional teams of prosecutors launched raids Monday and Tuesday on 21 houses of suspected pedophiles in the capital Sofia and seven Bulgarian towns and seized 27 personal computers, 353 DVDs, 57 videos and other items, the Sofia news agency SNA said Tuesday.
Bulgarian police received information on the suspects from German police, leading to the arrests.
