TIRANA - An Albanian opposition lawmaker and journalist said an explosion damaged his car in Tirana but nobody was injured, media reported Tuesday.
Erjon Brace, editor of the opposition newspaper Zeri Popullit and a parliamentary deputy for the opposition Socialist Party, said his car was parked outside the building housing his office in the center of the capital when the blast went off under his car Monday evening, the Serbian news agency Tanjug reported.
Brace was quoted as saying he wasn't aware of who would wish to hurt him.
The Tirana English-language Albanian Daily News Tuesday said the Socialist party, the largest parliamentary opposition in Albania, ended its leadership meeting Monday evening in heated debate.
