BAGHDAD - One Danish and three U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq, military forces announced Tuesday.
The Danish soldier was killed and five others were injured Monday when militants fired on their patrol in southern Iraq. The attack triggered a battle between insurgents armed with rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns and British forces, the Kuwait News Service, KUNA, reported.
Denmark has a 600-member force in the area as part of the Multinational Force.
The U.S. Army said Tuesday one of its soldiers was killed and four others injured by a bomb that exploded near their vehicle in northern Baghdad, KUNA reported.
Also Monday, a U.S. Marine died in Anbar province, and a soldier whose death was not combat-related died in Baghdad, the military said, KUNA reported.
