GAZA - Israeli forces raided a Palestinian refugee camp Tuesday, killing two Hamas members and arresting several Palestinians.
Israel arrested members of both the Hamas and Fatah factions at the Balata refugee camp in Nalbus, Ynetnews reported.
Sources told Ynetnews that Palestinian legislator Jamal Tirawi, the Fatah spokesman in parliament and the former commander of Fatah's military brigade, was among those arrested.
Tirawi was one of four Fatah members and three Hamas members arrested, Ynetnews reported.
Israel said the operation was part of its efforts to fight terrorism in Gaza. Israel has been launching airstrikes against Hamas targets in response to Qassam rockets attacks toward Israel.
One rocket was fired into Israel Tuesday morning landed in a field outside of Sderot, Ynetnews reported.
