JERUSALEM - Israeli forces have begun moving 100 Palestinians, including 30 women and 32 terror suspects, from the Gaza Strip into Egypt.
The Jerusalem Post said Thursday that after the Palestinians were picked up at the Erez Crossing, they were transported on buses and sent across the border into Egypt.
The Palestinians had been seeking transport from the Gaza Strip since Hamas took control of the region last week.
The Israeli government sanctioned the evacuation effort and coordinated the travel plans with Egyptian officials.
As a precaution, Israeli forces traveled with the Palestinians into Egypt and travelers were screened prior to crossing the border.
The Post said the 32 individuals suspected of participating in regional terror attacks won't be allowed to travel across Israeli borders again.
