Near the Iraqi border in southeastern Turkey, the Turkish Army killed eight Kurdish rebels Friday, officials said.
Turkish military officials have said the situation at the border calls for a military operation in northern Iraq, where Kurdish rebels, members of Kurdistan's Labor Party, have sought refuge.
