BOGOTA -- A commercial passenger plane skidded off a runway in northern Colombia Tuesday and fell into the Caribbean, injuring seven people.
The plane was carrying a total of 59 people when it slid off the runway upon landing, El Tiempo newspaper reported online.
The accident in Colombia came on the same day a Brazilian commercial airliner crashed in Sao Paulo, Brazil, killing at least 200 people.
