BUENOS AIRES -- Argentina's economic minister resigned after she was ordered to testify about $64,000 in cash discovered in a bag in her office.
Felisa Miceli stepped down after notifying President Nestor Kirchner, who then appointed Industry Secretary Gustavo Peirano as her successor, La Nacion newspaper reported Tuesday.
Miceli maintains her innocence and said the cash in U.S. and Argentine currency found in her office was a loan from her brother to purchase a house.
