GUATEMALA CITY -- At least 46 children living in a Guatemalan adoption center may have been taken from their parents illegally, authorities said.
The 46 children were rescued from the home operated by a man hailing from Florida and a Guatemalan woman, Prensa Libre newspaper reported Monday. The children rescued from the site were said to be as young as newborns up to three years old.
According to witnesses, foreigners were often seen visiting the adoption center.
