LONDON -- Investigators say a British pediatrician found brutally stabbed to death may have been killed by the relatives of a former patient.
Dr. Victoria Anyetei was attacked Tuesday morning as she got into her car to go to work, The Times of London said Wednesday.
Police said she was stab bled multiple times in what appears to have been a frenzied attack. Her 19-year-old son found her body inside the car, which was parked outside their home in Kent, The London Telegraph said.
Investigators said they were looking into the possibility she was killed by an angry former patient, or a parent of someone she had treated. Anyetei, who was from Ghana, was consultant pediatrician at St. Thomas Hospital in London.
The Times said she was described as "very popular, not only with the local community, but with her colleagues and the people she was treating."
