MADRID - Spanish authorities arrested nearly two dozen members of the banned Basque party said to be the political arm of the separatist group ETA.
The party members were arrested in northern Spain after the country's National Court issued warrants for their detainment, El Pais newspaper reported Friday.
For more than three decades, ETA has been fighting for an autonomous homeland along the Spanish-French border. More than 850 people have been killed in ETA-related violence during that time.
