Budget Update: District personnel, budget task force and association representatives continue to refine the cost-saving concepts for the 2009-10 budget shortfall, which is anticipated to be as large as $7 million. All options such as staff, salaries, electives, programs, school calendar, extracurricular activities, etc., are under consideration; however, NO DECISIONS have been made.

BEND, Ore. -- Oregon Community College is presenting a college fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 8, at the Mazama Field on the COCC Bend campus. Central Oregon Community College is offering a "Getting Started" workshop at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, in the boardroom on the second floor of the Boyle Education Center on the Bend campus.

SALEM, Ore. – State Schools Superintendent Susan Castillo announced today that Oregon’s statewide dropout rate for the 2007-08 school year was 3.7%, down from 4.2% last year. The 3.7% dropout rate is the lowest since statewide reporting began in 1991. Celebration Parade for La Pine Lady Hawks, Victors in 4A Basketball Championships, Slated for March 20
